Providing Quality Education and Childcare in Costa Rica

Descripción

Our program in Costa Rica focuses on providing quality education and childcare in underserved and low-income communities, with a strong emphasis on the UN Sustainable Development Goals. Volunteers collaborate in various institutions, such as Escuela Los Jardines and Colegio Bilingüe de Palmares, among others. Here, volunteers immerse themselves in the local culture, working closely with teachers to develop exciting and inclusive educational activities. Additionally, you will support children in their emotional well-being, learning to accompany them in their personal and social growth. No prior experience is required, although any educational background is beneficial, and basic Spanish knowledge is necessary to facilitate communication.

Tareas realizadas por los voluntarios

Jornada típica

8:00 a.m. - Arrival at the community and preparation of educational materials.
9:00 a.m. - Assist in English classes with a local teacher.
11:00 a.m. - Supervised playtime and recreational activities.
12:00 p.m. - Lunch and interaction with the children.
1:00 p.m. - Planning with teachers for the next day.
2:00 p.m. - Recreational activities and emotional support.
4:00 p.m. - End of the day and return home.
